Pitch Bend Range (can be set on the fly using the sustain pedal)
Sustain pedal is used to select Split Point on the fly.

Parts
You will need and a Pro Micro plus some components to handle MIDI. You need to be good at soldering and have experience of using prototyping board like Veroboard. The total cost is less than £20 but I would recommend putting it in an enclosure or even a eurorack panel.
If you use it in Eurorack you need to check which Synths have Thru on the front panel Model D and Cat do. If the synth only has in, like the 2-XM, you would need to modify the board and add buffered outputs - bit more wiring and one extra chip.
